Jaipur, October 8 (Udaipur Kiran): In a swift and decisive action, Gokulpura Police of Sikar district cracked a violent attack and kidnapping case within 24 hours, arresting two key members of the notorious Baba Gang. The arrests came after detailed investigation based on CCTV footage and confidential inputs.

SP Praveen Nayak Lunawat informed that on October 6, complainant Sonu Mehra lodged an FIR at Gokulpura Police Station, stating that he was celebrating the birthday of his minor friend Kanha along with his friends when Sunil Meena, Sanjay Kahar, Rajendra Kahar, Shaitan Kahar, and other 6–7 gang members arrived on motorcycles and attacked them.
The assailants hit Sonu and his friend Pintu on the head, kidnapped Sonu and Kanha, and took them to Sujawas Beed, where they were brutally beaten. Following the complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections of the IPC for attempt to murder, assault, and kidnapping.
Taking the incident seriously, SP Lunawat directed immediate action. Under the leadership of SHO Preeti Beniwal, a special team was formed. The team examined CCTV footage from over 30 cameras in and around the crime scene and conducted night-long raids at suspected hideouts based on intelligence inputs.
Despite the accused being clever and elusive, the police succeeded in arresting two prime accused within 24 hours —
-
Sanjay Mehra alias Sanju (21), resident of Raivasa
-
Ramesh Kumar alias Deepak (25), resident of Pachar
Both were thoroughly interrogated and produced before the court, which sent them to judicial custody.
This successful operation was carried out under the close supervision of Additional SP Gajendra Singh Jodha and CO City Lalsingh Yadav, marking a strong blow to the Baba Gang’s criminal activities in the region.
