Sony Interactive Entertainment today announced that the acclaimed action game God of War Ragnarök is coming to PC on September 19, 2024. The game is a sequel to 2018’s God of War and includes various PC-exclusive features and post-release games. Valhalla DLC.
According to Sony, the PC version of Ragnarok is being developed in collaboration with Jetpack Interactive, which also worked on the previous PC port of God of War.
PC Ragnarök God of War features true 4K resolution and supports DLSS, FSR and Nvidia’s Valhalla.
God of War Ragnarök for PC supports open frame rates, true 4K resolution, an ultra-wide aspect ratio of up to 32:9, and upscaling technologies such as Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS to improve image quality and performance.
In addition to the base game, the PC version includes the Valhalla DLC, which was released for PS5 earlier this year. In this Rogue-inspired expansion, Kratos confronts his dark past and takes on the challenges of the Norse underworld.
Pre-orders for the PC version of God of War Ragnarök have begun
Pre-orders for God of War Ragnarök for PC are now open on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Standard Edition costs $49.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes bonus in-game items as well as a digital soundtrack and art book, is available for $59.99. Like other first-person PlayStation games on PC, such as Spider-Man and Horizon Zero Dawn, Ragnarök requires a PlayStation Network account to play even in single-player mode.
God of War Ragnarök was first released exclusively for PlayStation 5 in November 2022. The game continues the story of Kratos and his son Atreus since the series’ soft launch in 2018, this time drawing heavily on Norse mythology as the pair set out to stop the prophesied apocalypse.
