Panaji, March 12 : Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday resigned from his post. He handed over his resignation letter to Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai at Raj Bhavan. However, the Governor appointed him as caretaker chief minister. “Met the Hon’ble Governor Shri @psspillaigov ji at Raj Bhavan today to hand over my resignation letter. The Hon’ble Governor has appointed me as the caretaker CM until the further process,” the Chief Minister tweeted. He said with blessings of the people of Goa, the BJP is once again going to form the Government in the state which will work on the principles of Antyodaya. Goa will continue to prosper with the Double Engine Sarkar under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP has won 20 seats in the assembly elections and is set to form its government with the help of independent candidates.
