Fortis Doctors Arrested in Kidney-Liver Transplant Case

Jaipur : Two doctors from Fortis Hospital have arrested for allegedly issuing fake NOCs for organ transplants in exchange for bribes. The arrests came after the arrest of Fortis Hospital nursing staff Bhanu Lavvanshi alias Bhanu Pratap on Friday.

The Jaipur police had questioned doctors from three hospitals separately for 6 hours on Saturday. After this, surgeons Sandeep Gupta and Jitendra Goswami were arrested. During interrogation, it came to light that both the doctors used to go to rented houses to see patients.

Dr. Jitendra Goswami earlier worked at Manipal Hospital before Fortis. When Manipal’s license was not renewed, Jitendra Goswami joined Fortis in September 2023. Dr. Jitendra and Sandeep Gupta used to perform organ transplants at Fortis. It has also come to light that these people have information about many other doctors who have done transplants.

In fact, accused Bhanu, who was arrested by the police, has told the police about which doctors are involved in this entire game. On this, the police team called the two doctors to the ACP Gandhi Nagar office on Saturday morning and questioned them. On this, both the doctors did not answer the police’s questions. Both were arrested.
