
Udaipur : Five people including a woman died while at least 15 were injured in a tempo-jeep collision on Wednesday. The accident took place at Kheda village near Gadhi thana on the Banswara-Dungarpur road. The deceased all residents of Bhimsaur village belonged to a family who were going for a condolence meet to Naya Ghao.

The accident occurred on the Banswara-Dungarpur Highway near Kheda village, SHO, Garhi Police Station, Laburam Chaudhary told Udaipur Kiran. The accident occurred when the passengers were on their way to Naya village and the jeep going to Banswara from Garhi rammed into each other.

The injured passengers were rushed to Banswara from a government hospital in Garhi. The SHO said the jeep driver fled the spot after the accident whereas the tempo driver sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment.
