Explosion at Zaporizhzhia nuke plant.

Kyiv, March 14 : Russian troops on Monday blew up explosives at Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant. The Kyiv Independent quoted Energoatom, the state-run nuclear energy company as saying that the explosives had been blown up near the Russian-controlled Ukrainian plant’s main reactor and that further explosions are planned. On Saturday, the company as stating that the Russian officials have reached Ukraine’s largest nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia demanding to take control of the facility. The nuclear power plant had been under Russian forces’ occupation for more than a week. Earlier, Energoatom claimed its employees have been forced to work at “gunpoint”. According to UN’s International Organization for Migration (IOM), more than 2.8 million people have fled to neighboring countries, including 127,000 third-country nationals. People continue to flee the war in Ukraine every minute, it added. The CEF has said the war in Ukraine is having a “devastating impact” on more than 7.5 million children. RNJ
