Udaipur, 3 September (Kiran News) — The second day of the CBSE National Chess Championship 2025-26, hosted at MDS Public School, Udaipur, witnessed a series of thrilling matches as 127 teams from India and abroad competed under the theme “Padharo Mhara Des.” Players showcased impressive talent, strategy, and patience on the chessboard, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience for every move.
Results Across Categories
In the Under-11 Mixed category, Velammal School, Mangadu secured first place, followed by BDM International, Kolkata in second, and Khelgaon Public School in third position. In the Under-11 Girls’ category, Velammal School, Mogappair claimed the top spot, with Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura finishing second and Velammal School, Vangaram taking third place.
For the Under-14 Mixed group, Velammal School, Alapakkam emerged as the winner, MES Indian School, Qatar came second, and Delhi Public School, Udaipur secured third position. In the Under-14 Girls’ category, Velammal School, Ayanambakkam bagged the first prize, Velammal School, Mogappair came second, and Sunbeam School Annapurna, Varanasi stood third.
In the Under-17 Mixed category, Bhavan’s Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir, Kolkata took first place, DPS, Qatar was second, and Velammal School Annapurna, Varanasi finished third. Among Under-17 Girls, Velammal School, Ayanambakkam clinched the first position, Gems Our Own English High School, Dubai came second, and Delhi Public School, Sail Township was third.
For the Under-19 Mixed group, Velammal School, Karambakkam finished first, Silicon City Academy, Bengaluru was second, and Abu Dhabi Indian School, UAE came third. In the Under-19 Girls’ category, Velammal School, Alapakkam topped the group, Sunbeam School Annapurna, Varanasi secured second place, and Neerja Modi School, Jaipur stood third.
