Under the leadership of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is actively promoting aquaculture, providing farmers with an alternative source of income and strengthening the rural economy.

In Rajasthan, agriculture and animal husbandry are the primary sources of livelihood. However, aquaculture is emerging as a profitable sector, offering high returns with low investment. The state government is actively developing reservoirs, canals, ponds, and artificial water bodies to facilitate fish farming.

Under PM Matsya Sampada Yojana, farmers are being trained in innovative techniques to ensure maximum yield with minimum investment. This initiative is helping them generate additional income, diversifying their sources of livelihood.

🔹 Women, Scheduled Castes (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST)

💰 Subsidy & Financial Assistance

✔️ General category beneficiaries receive up to 40% of the total cost
✔️ SC/ST and women beneficiaries receive up to 60% of the total cost
✔️ Subsidy amount is transferred through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer)
✔️ Remaining cost can be arranged through personal funds or bank loans
✔️ The subsidy is disbursed in two or three installments

🏡 Land Requirement & Eligibility Criteria

✔️ The applicant must own the land where the project is proposed
✔️ Leased land is permitted with a minimum tenure of:

  • 10 years for infrastructure projects
  • 7 years for other projects
    ✔️ No subsidy is provided for land purchase or lease agreements
    ✔️ The land must be free from disputes
