ED Action Looms Over Azam Khans Family

Rampur, November 2: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its scrutiny on the family of Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, following allegations of money laundering. Azam Khan was arrested immediately after his release from Rampur jail and has been remanded to Dasna jail after a court appearance in Ghaziabad. He faces accusations of misusing over ₹426 crore in black money and more than ₹80 crore in government funds for the construction of the Jauhar University.
The ED’s investigation has now implicated the Jauhar Trust, which includes Azam Khan’s wife, two sons, and sister among its members. This development raises concerns that his family members could also face legal repercussions as the ED’s actions progress.
According to the FIR filed by the ED on October 13 at the Azeem Nagar police station, the Jauhar Trust was responsible for the establishment of Jauhar University. The trust is under scrutiny for allegedly misusing government funds and soliciting donations through fictitious firms. As a result, all members associated with the trust are now at risk of facing legal action.
