Dr Kirti Kumar Jain Says Precision Medicine Will Shape Future Healthcare

Udaipur, May 13 (Udaipur Kiran) — Dr Kirti Kumar Jain said precision medicine, or person-specific treatment, is emerging as one of the most revolutionary directions in modern medical science.

Addressing a function organised at the Science Committee campus in Udaipur, Dr Jain said future medical treatment will not be based only on diseases, but also on an individual’s genetic structure, lifestyle and biological characteristics.

He explained the evolution of medical science from traditional treatment systems to future healthcare models driven by genomics, artificial intelligence, biomarkers and continuous health monitoring technologies.

According to Dr Jain, the integration of science, medicine and technology will make it possible to predict diseases, identify them at an early stage and provide highly accurate treatment in the coming years.

The programme was jointly organised by the Vigyan Samiti, Institution of Engineers, Mining Engineers Association of India and Dr D.S. Kothari Institute.

During the ceremony, Dr Jain was honoured with the Dr D.S. Kothari Excellence Award 2026.

The chief guest of the event was Prof Kailash Sodani.

Earlier, Science Committee president Dr Mahip Bhatnagar delivered the welcome address, while Dr K.L. Kothari presented the background of the Dr D.S. Kothari Award.
