Google Pixel 8a, the successor to last year’s Pixel 7a, will reportedly be unveiled at Google I/O 2024. Ahead of the arrival of the smartphone, which is said to be a budget version of the Pixel 8, Android Headlines 360 has released images of all four color options for the upcoming Pixel 8a. According to previous reports, the Google Pixel 8a will be powered by a 4500mAh battery and the company’s Tensor G3 chipset.
The rumored Pixel 8a has not yet been revealed by the company, but there have been several leaks regarding the device’s design and hardware specifications. According to the publication, the Pixel 8a will be available next month in four colors: blue, mint green, obsidian black and Chinese white.
Images leaked by the publication show that the Pixel 8a will be very similar to the Pixel 8 released last year. The latter was offered in the colors hazelnut, mint, obsidian and rose. This means that the model, called Pixel 8a, will share at least two color options with its higher-end sibling.
Live renders of the Pixel 8a surfaced online earlier this week, giving us a good look at the design of Google’s next Pixel A series phones. According to the leaked images, the back of the phone will feature the same rear camera module as the Pixel 8, but unlike the Pixel 7a, the back will have a matte finish.
According to previous reports, the Pixel 8a could launch with Google’s Tensor G3, the same chip as the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, and 8GB of RAM. The phone is also said to feature a 6.1-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum HDR brightness of 1400 nits.
The Pixel 8a is expected to launch with the same camera setup as the Pixel 7a: a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It is also said to have a 5,000mAh battery that supports 27W wired fast charging. You’ll likely learn more about the Pixel 8a before it’s announced at Google I/O 2024 on May 14.
