Udaipur, May 5, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari visited Udaipur on a one-day tour and chaired a divisional-level review meeting at the UCCI meeting hall in Madri Industrial Area. The meeting included officials from the Public Works Department, Tourism Department, and Women and Child Development Department.

During the meeting, the Deputy CM conducted a detailed review of the progress of various schemes and budget announcements.
Concern Over Slow Road Projects
While reviewing the Public Works Department, she expressed dissatisfaction over the slow progress of several road projects in the Udaipur division. She directed officials to prioritise and complete critical road construction works at the earliest. Discussions were held on projects such as Atal Pragati Path, missing links, and non-patchable roads, along with ongoing works in various PWD circles and national highway segments. Public representatives also raised concerns regarding road conditions and delays in their respective areas.
Focus on Anganwadi and Nutrition Schemes
Under the Integrated Child Development Services, progress of budget announcements, nutrition tracker, FRS, renovation of anganwadi centres, and establishment of new centres was reviewed. The Deputy CM directed officials to speed up the development of model anganwadi centres and distribution of nutrition kits to ensure better facilities for children and women.
Emphasis on Tourism Development
During the tourism review, progress of projects including the Maharana Pratap Tourism Circuit was assessed. She instructed that expert advice must be taken for conservation and redevelopment of historical and heritage sites. Reviewing works related to developing Javar Mata as a major tourist destination, she also directed that QR codes be installed at identified locations to provide historical information to visitors.
The Deputy CM instructed all departments to accelerate work on budget announcements and complete projects within the तय timeline to ensure public benefit. The meeting was attended by Rajsamand MP Mahima Kumari Mewar, Nathdwara MLA Vishvaraj Singh Mewar, Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, Gogunda MLA Pratap Gameti, ADM City Jitendra Ojha, and divisional-level officials from concerned departments.
