Delhi Police Registers FIR Over Leak of General Naravane’s Unpublished Book

Delhi Police has taken strict action following the alleged leak of the unpublished book titled ‘Four Stars of Destiny’ by former Army Chief General M.M. Naravane. The Special Cell of Delhi Police has registered an FIR and launched an investigation into the matter.

The police took note of reports circulating on various social media platforms and news outlets claiming that a pre-print copy of the book ‘Four Stars of Destiny’ is being publicly disseminated.

During the investigation, it was found that the necessary approvals from the concerned authorities for publishing this book are still pending. The inquiry revealed that a PDF copy of the book, prepared by Penguin Random House India Private Limited under the same title, was available on some websites. Additionally, certain online marketing platforms displayed the book cover as if it was available for sale.

The Special Cell is probing how the book reached online platforms without official permission and whether any security protocols were breached. The investigation aims to identify the reasons behind this leak and those responsible for it.

Notably, last week, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was seen waving a copy of this book inside the Parliament premises. This incident caused significant uproar, disrupting the Lok Sabha proceedings and leading to the suspension of eight MPs for the remainder of the current budget session.
