Delhi High Court Allows Inspection of Arvind Singh Mewar’s Will
Udaipur, May 8 (Udaipur Kiran): The Delhi High Court has allowed inspection of the will of former royal family member late Arvind Singh Mewar in the ongoing family dispute over his estate.

The will has been challenged by his daughter Padmaja Parmar, who questioned the signatures on the document and sought forensic examination.
The court permitted lawyers along with forensic experts to inspect the original will. However, the court also directed that no photographs of the will would be allowed during the inspection process. The inspection has been scheduled for May 15, while the next hearing in the matter will take place on May 19.
Arvind Singh Mewar passed away on March 16, 2025. His final will was registered at the Sub-Registrar’s office on February 7. In the will, he named his son Lakshyaraj Singh as the sole heir to his self-acquired properties.
The dispute began around 15 days after the will surfaced publicly. Daughters Padmaja and Bhargavi challenged the will in the Supreme Court. The apex court later transferred the pending cases from the Jodhpur and Mumbai High Courts to the Delhi High Court.
Padmaja had sought Letters of Administration regarding her father’s property. The High Court considered her petition non-maintainable based on the facts presented. However, the court allowed her to raise arguments related to suspicious circumstances in response to the case filed by her brother Lakshyaraj Singh.
