New Delhi, May 8: The excitement is building as the Delhi Capitals (DC) prepare to face the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an IPL 2026 match this Friday evening. A significant question looms over whether DC will include explosive batsman David Miller in their playing XI. Miller has been sidelined for the last two matches.
Only four foreign players can participate in the playing XI, and DC has opted for a different combination, leaving Miller out. The team has given opportunities to Pathum Nissanka at the top of the order, Tristan Stubbs in the middle, and bowlers Mitchell Starc and Lungi Ngidi, which has resulted in Miller’s exclusion. Speaking about the pitch at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Miller noted, “The behavior of the pitch has been different this season. There have been high-scoring matches, but at times batting has been challenging. The batting unit has put itself under pressure by losing wickets consistently. Several dropped catches at crucial moments have also weighed heavily on the team.”
Currently, the Delhi Capitals are struggling this season, having suffered six losses in ten matches and sitting in seventh place on the points table. To keep their playoff hopes alive, the team must win all their remaining matches.
