Panaji, June 22: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Goa, has issued an official notification inviting applications for a total of 27 apprentice positions across various trades for a duration of one year.
The vacancies include four positions for Technician (Diploma) Apprenticeship and 23 positions for Graduate (Non-Engineering Degree) Apprenticeship. The Technician (Diploma) roles encompass one position each in Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering, and Computer Engineering.
For the Graduate (Non-Engineering Degree) Apprenticeship, there are 23 positions available, with 10 in HR Management, Office Administration, Finance and Accounts, Stores, and Purchase; 9 in Research and Development in Oceanography; and one position each in Library Sciences, Dispensary/Nursing, Guest House and Canteen Management, and Desktop Publishing.
Selection of eligible candidates for these apprentice positions will be based on a walk-in interview and document verification. Selected candidates for the Technician (Diploma) Apprenticeship will receive a stipend of ₹10,900, while those chosen for the Graduate (Non-Engineering Degree) Apprenticeship will receive ₹12,300 per month.
Candidates attending the interview for the Technician (Diploma) Apprenticeship must possess a full-time three-year diploma in Engineering/Technology from a recognized state government/university/institution. For the Graduate (Non-Engineering Degree) positions, candidates should hold a full-time graduate degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university/institution. Additionally, registration on the official NATs or NAPs portal is mandatory for all candidates.
The minimum age for applicants for the Technician (Diploma) Apprenticeship is 18 years, with a maximum age limit of 24 years. For the Graduate (Non-Engineering Degree) Apprenticeship, the minimum age is 21 years, and the maximum age is 26 years. Age calculations will be based on the date of the interview, with age relaxation applicable for candidates from reserved categories.
The walk-in interview will take place on July 6 at the CSIR-NIO headquarters, Lok Bhavan Road, Dona Paula 403004, Goa. Candidates are advised to report between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM and bring all necessary original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies.
