Crompton Greaves Rises After Receiving ₹445 Crore Solar EPC Order from NREDCAP

Mumbai, October 24 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals traded higher on Thursday after the company announced that it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) for a large-scale solar rooftop project under the PM–Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.

At the BSE, the stock was trading at ₹292.40, up ₹1.50 or 0.52% from its previous close of ₹290.90. The scrip opened at ₹292.95 and touched a high of ₹293.65 and a low of ₹289.00, with 47,821 shares changing hands.

The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of ₹2, has recorded a 52-week high of ₹419.15 (02-Dec-2024) and a 52-week low of ₹278.45 (14-Oct-2025). The company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹18,828.07 crore. Institutional investors hold 86.81%, while non-institutional shareholders own 13.19% of the equity.

As per the announcement, Crompton Greaves has received the LoA from NREDCAP for EPC contracts covering design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and five years of operations and maintenance (O&M) for 2 kW solar rooftop systems aggregating to a total capacity of 77.40 MWp.

The project will benefit 38,699 SC and ST consumers across Andhra Pradesh, under the utility-led aggregation (CAPEX) model in APDISCOMs, with a total contract value of ₹445.03 crore (excluding GST).

This initiative is part of the PM–Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, aimed at promoting renewable energy and enabling rural and underprivileged households to access affordable solar power.
