Ranchi, May 11: In a recent conversation with a news agency, former minister and BJP MLA C.P. Singh emphasized Prime Minister Modi’s appeal as being in the nation’s interest. Singh stated that the BJP operates with the sentiment of putting the nation first. He highlighted the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran, which has disrupted fuel shipments through the Hormuz Strait. He credited PM Modi’s foresight for the pre-stored petrol and diesel but questioned how long these reserves would last.
Singh urged citizens to conserve foreign currency by limiting foreign travel and refraining from unnecessary purchases, including gold, unless absolutely essential, such as for weddings. He encouraged a positive reception of PM Modi’s appeal.
He criticized the opposition for viewing every good initiative from a negative perspective, asserting that as Indians, there should be a sense of nationalism that everyone should naturally adhere to.
Regarding PM Modi’s comments on Congress being a parasitic party, Singh affirmed that this is not a new observation. He stated that the character and conduct of Congress have been questionable since its inception. He warned that alliances with Congress, like those in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, have led to their downfall and advised people to steer clear of the party.
On the Supreme Court granting bail to former minister Alamgir Alam and his PA, Singh remarked that all should respect the court’s decisions, as there is no higher authority than the Supreme Court. He emphasized that the outcomes of investigations will determine their fate, and compliance with court orders is paramount.
