Cold Winds Cause Temperature Dip Across Rajasthan

Jaipur, February 7  – Rajasthan is experiencing a cold spell due to chilly winds blowing from North India, causing a significant drop in temperatures across multiple cities. The impact of these cold winds was felt strongly in Ajmer, Kota, Baran, and several other districts on Thursday, as minimum temperatures in these areas dropped below 10°C.

According to weather experts, the cold conditions are expected to persist for the next 48 hours, after which temperatures will begin to rise starting February 9, bringing relief from the morning and evening chill.

📉 Temperature Drop Across Rajasthan

The cold wave affected several regions, with daytime temperatures remaining lower than usual and a noticeable chill even during the afternoon. According to the Meteorological Department, Jaipur, Sikar, Dausa, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, and Churu witnessed continuous cold winds throughout Thursday, keeping the daytime temperature relatively low.

✔️ Churu: Maximum temperature – 24.1°C
✔️ Alwar: Maximum temperature – 21.8°C

Earlier, the minimum temperature in Ajmer, Baran, and Kota dropped by up to 3°C, bringing temperatures into single digits.

❄️ Cold Winds Affect Western Rajasthan

The impact of northern winds was also felt in areas bordering Pakistan, including Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Jalore, and Jodhpur, where daytime temperatures remained lower than usual, and cold winds continued throughout the day.

Despite relatively warmer daytime temperatures, chilly winds persisted, maintaining a cool atmosphere across the region.

📅 Weather Outlook: When Will the Cold Start to Subside?

The Jaipur Meteorological Center has predicted that cold conditions will persist across Rajasthan until February 8, particularly affecting Jaipur, Bikaner, and Bharatpur divisions, where light cold winds will continue in the mornings and evenings.

🔹 From February 9 onwards, the influence of northern winds will weaken, and temperatures will gradually increase.
🔹 By February 12-13, Rajasthan will experience dry weather, with clear skies and stronger sunshine during the day.
🔹 By next week, the weather is expected to stabilize, bringing relief from the cold.

As Rajasthan prepares for rising temperatures, residents can expect gradual relief from the winter chill, with warmer days ahead.
