CM Yogi Shares Experience of High-Speed Train Journey in Japan

Tokyo, February 26: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is currently on a two-day visit to Japan. During his trip, he experienced a ride on a Japanese train traveling at a speed of 501 km/h. Following the journey, CM Yogi shared his experience on social media.

In a video, he showcased the onboard speed display and captured images while the train reached 501 kilometers per hour. He stated, “You can see that I was traveling at a speed of 501 km/h. I experienced the advanced SCMAGLEV train in Yamanashi, which is a next-generation high-speed system that can reach speeds of up to 500 kilometers per hour, demonstrating the future of clean, efficient, and precise mobility.”

CM Yogi praised Japanese technology, saying, “Traveling at such high speeds was easy and remarkably stable, reflecting Japan’s commitment to innovation and high-quality infrastructure. When technology operates at this speed, the future feels closer than ever.”

He also shared a picture of Mount Fuji, stating, “Mount Fuji, Japan’s highest peak and a UNESCO World Heritage site, symbolizes strength, discipline, and spiritual balance. It was my privilege to see the magnificent Mount Fuji against a bright and sunny backdrop, a symbol of Japan’s enduring beauty and cultural pride. Thank you, Japan!”

During his visit, students in Yamanashi welcomed CM Yogi. He expressed his happiness on social media, saying, “I interacted with young students in Yamanashi, and I was delighted to see their warmth, discipline, and joyful enthusiasm. Their innocent love and curiosity reflect the deep cultural ties between our two countries. I wish these young minds a future filled with knowledge, character, and success.”

In Yamanashi Prefecture, CM Yogi held discussions with Governor Kotaro Nagasaki to strengthen cooperation between Uttar Pradesh and Yamanashi and advance a strategic partnership. He announced that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to deepen collaboration in industry, tourism, and vocational education, with a special focus on green hydrogen, clean energy innovation, and technology exchange.

He added that Uttar Pradesh is developing IIT Kanpur as a Center of Excellence in green hydrogen to enhance self-reliance in energy and promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a sustainable future.

CM Yogi welcomed the Governor’s proposal to lead a delegation of 200 CEOs to Uttar Pradesh in August, which he believes will accelerate industrial partnerships and investments.
