Bhopal, October 23 (Udaipur Kiran): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will extend a festive gift worth ₹318 crore to the beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana on the occasion of Bhai Dooj today. The amount will be directly transferred into the bank accounts of 1.27 crore Ladli Behnas across the state through a single click.

A special ceremony will be held at the Chief Minister’s residence, where the beneficiaries will be welcomed with a shower of flowers. The event will also be attended by Women and Child Development Minister Nirmala Bhuria, Minister of State for OBC and Minority Welfare Krishna Gaur, and BJP State President and MLA Hemant Khandelwal.
CM’s Message on Bhai Dooj
Ahead of the event, Chief Minister Yadav shared a heartfelt message for the Ladli Behnas, describing Bhai Dooj as a festival that reflects love, affection, and responsibility in Indian culture. “It is not just a festival but a celebration of the bond where a brother pledges to stand by his sister’s happiness, safety, and dignity,” he said.
He added, “The smile of our sisters is the foundation of a prosperous society, and every brother must strengthen this bond through his conduct and actions.” Referring to the divine bond between Lord Krishna and Subhadra, the Chief Minister said their relationship is the best example of brotherly care and protection. “Just as Krishna ensured Subhadra’s safety and honour, our government stands as a companion in the happiness, security, and empowerment of every Ladli Behna,” he said.
A Tradition of Compassionate Governance
CM Yadav emphasised that every festival in the state should bring new hope and enthusiasm to people’s lives. Under his leadership, festivals like Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Dooj have become symbols of the humane face of governance.
He described the Ladli Behnas not just as beneficiaries but as the soul of families and society. So far, a total of ₹44,917.92 crore has been transferred directly into their accounts, benefiting 1.27 crore women across Madhya Pradesh.
On the occasion of Bhai Dooj, the Chief Minister announced the fulfilment of his promise to provide an additional ₹250 under the scheme, raising the monthly assistance from ₹1,250 to ₹1,500 for every Ladli Behna.
