Chhattisgarh PSC Candidates Get Relief with New Exam Schedule

Raipur, May 1: Candidates preparing for the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) have received a significant relief as the state government has revised the schedule for the State Service Main Examination 2025. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, responding to the demands of the candidates, announced the changes on Friday.

The CGPSC has now scheduled the examination to take place from June 6 to June 9, 2026, providing candidates with an extended opportunity for preparation. Previously, the exam was set for May 16 to May 19, 2026.

According to the revised schedule released by the CGPSC, the written exams for the State Service Main Examination 2025 will now be held on June 6, 7, 8, and 9 instead of the earlier dates. The exams will be conducted at designated centers in districts including Surguja (Ambikapur), Bilaspur, Durg, Bastar (Jagdalpur), and Raipur (Chhattisgarh).

The examination will be conducted in two shifts on the same day. The first shift will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. On June 6, the language examination will take place in the first shift, followed by the essay writing paper in the second shift. On June 7, the General Studies-1 paper will be held in the first shift, and the General Studies-II paper in the second shift.

On June 8, the General Studies-III paper will be conducted in the first shift, and the General Studies-IV paper in the second shift. Finally, on June 9, the last day of the examination, the General Studies-V paper will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in a single shift.

The commission’s office will issue admit cards ten days prior to the examination date. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards from the official website of the commission, as no separate notifications or SMS will be sent regarding the issuance of admit cards.
