MUMBAI, March 25, 2025: After a phenomenal six-week run at the box office, Vicky Kaushal’s historical epic Chhaava is finally showing signs of slowdown. On Day 39, the film collected approximately ₹1.75 crore, bringing its domestic total to ₹585 crore, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. The blockbuster is now just a few crores away from surpassing Stree 2 to enter the Top 2 highest-grossing Indian films.
Slower Monday, But Eyes Still on Record Books
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava hit theatres on February 14 and has consistently dominated the Indian box office. Based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the film features Vicky Kaushal in the titular role and Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. It also stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Ashutosh Rana, Diana Penty, and Akshaye Khanna in key roles.
While Monday marked a dip in collections, the film continues to enjoy strong public sentiment and high occupancy during weekends. Chhaava is also riding the buzz of its upcoming special screening in Parliament, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi—a rare and prestigious moment for any Indian film.
