Udaipur. In a swift action, Udaipur police filed a chargesheet within just seven days against Pushpraj Ojha alias Siddharth, who was arrested for allegedly raping a French woman.

The incident was reported on June 23 at Badgaon police station, where the French national alleged that Pushpraj alias Siddharth Ojha had sexually assaulted her. Based on the complaint, a case (No. 150/2025) was registered under Section 64(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and an investigation was launched.
Given the sensitivity and seriousness of the case, Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal formed a special investigation team under the supervision of Additional SP (City) Umesh Ojha and Deputy SP (West) Kailash Chand Boriwal. The team, led by SHO Puran Singh of Badgaon police station, arrested the accused within just 36 hours.
The accused, Pushpraj alias Siddharth Ojha (29), a resident of Borda, Chittorgarh (currently residing at New Bhupalpura, Udaipur), was taken into custody after interrogation and produced before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
On July 2, under the direction of SP Yogesh Goyal, a comprehensive chargesheet was filed in court under Sections 64(1) and 87 of the BNS, 2023. The police have stated that efforts will be made to ensure a speedy trial and conviction of the accused through due judicial process.
