BNP Prepares for Government Formation After Election Victory

Dhaka, February 15: The results of Bangladesh’s 13th national parliamentary elections have been announced, with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) preparing to form a new government. The new cabinet is set to take the oath on February 17. According to Bangladeshi media, an official gazette listing the elected parliamentary members has already been published.

As per Article 148 of the constitution, elected representatives must take their oath within three days of the official election results being declared. The newly elected members will take their oath on Tuesday, along with the cabinet. The schedule was confirmed by Election Commission Secretary Akhtar Ahmed during a press briefing on Saturday.
