Bihar CM Warns Officials of Suspension Over Delayed Grievance Resolution

Chhapra, May 19: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary issued a stern warning to officials on Tuesday, stating that any officer failing to resolve issues raised during public assistance camps within 30 days will face suspension. The initiative aims to address the grievances of the common people swiftly, with camps set to be organized in all panchayats.

During the launch of the “Sahyog Camp” program in Dumri Bujurg village of the Saran district, CM Chaudhary emphasized that public issues cannot be left unresolved. The objective of these camps is to provide quick solutions to citizens’ problems, eliminating the need for them to visit government offices repeatedly.

He noted that the camps will be held across all panchayats and highlighted the need for effective problem-solving. Reports indicate that 54 applications have been received so far, all of which have been processed.

Chaudhary pointed out that some officials may perceive certain issues as judicial matters or land disputes, but he made it clear that orders must be issued. “If you do not resolve these issues within 30 days, the Bihar government will take action against the concerned officials. No one will be spared,” he stated.

He further explained that if an officer fails to act on an application, they will receive a notice after 10 days, a second notice after 20 days, and a third notice after 25 days. If the issue remains unresolved after 30 days, the officer will automatically be suspended.

Chaudhary also announced plans to establish industries in Bihar, aiming to provide job opportunities for those who previously left the state. He mentioned that degree colleges will be set up in areas lacking them, with plans to initiate the establishment of 211 degree colleges. Additionally, he stressed the importance of reducing patient referrals from local hospitals, ensuring that residents receive justice within their villages through these camps.
