Bihar Assembly Elections: Last Day for Filing Nominations for Phase Two Voting

Patna, October 20 (Udaipur Kiran): The nomination process for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will conclude today (October 20). The filing of nominations began on October 13, and today marks the final day for candidates to submit their papers.

According to the Election Commission, the scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted on October 21 (Tuesday), while candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nominations until October 23. Voting for 122 constituencies in this phase is scheduled for November 11, with counting of votes on November 14.

Political activity has intensified across the state as major parties ramp up their campaigns. Several constituencies are expected to witness triangular or multi-cornered contests, making the phase crucial for all key alliances.

Meanwhile, the state administration has stepped up preparations to ensure that the polling process is free, fair, and peaceful. Special measures are being implemented to maintain law and order, particularly in sensitive and high-profile constituencies.
