Bharat Electronics Gains After Securing ₹633 Crore Order from Cochin Shipyard

Mumbai, October 23 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) moved higher in Wednesday’s session after the company announced winning an order worth ₹633 crore (excluding taxes) from Cochin Shipyard.

The order involves the supply of key components for sensors, weapon equipment, fire control systems, and communication systems, which are among BEL’s core offerings in the defence and naval technology sectors.

On the BSE, the stock opened at ₹420.05 and touched a high of ₹422.55 and a low of ₹418.30, before trading at ₹420.90, up ₹3.30 or 0.79% from its previous close of ₹417.60. About 1.89 lakh shares were traded during the session.

The company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹3,06,645.22 crore. BEL’s 52-week high is ₹435.95 (July 1, 2025) and its 52-week low is ₹240.15 (February 19, 2025). In the past week, the stock has moved between ₹409.10 and ₹422.60.

The promoter holding in the company is 51.14%, while institutions and non-institutional investors hold 39.03% and 9.84%, respectively.
