Bajaj Auto, one of the leading automobile companies, has launched a new variant of its Chetak electric scooter. Named Chetak 2901, it is priced at Rs 95,998 (ex-showroom). Bookings can be made online on the company’s website or at showrooms.
Deliveries of the new Chetak electric scooter model will begin from June 24. It is available in five colors: white, lime yellow, blue, red and black. The ARAI-certified range is over 120 km. Customers can also opt for the TecPac to extend the features. TecPac offers features like hill hold, reverse mode, sport mode, economy mode and music control. The Bajaj Chetak 2901 features a colored digital console, Bluetooth connectivity and alloy wheels with tubeless tires.

“We hope the electric scooter market will grow rapidly as they offer the same performance as petrol scooters but at a price that’s more pocket-friendly,” said Eric Vas, President of Urbanite at Bajaj Auto. “
The company also plans to expand its distribution network for its Chetak electric scooters. Bajaj Auto had launched a new variant of its Chetak electric scooter in March. New features were added. Its range was also increased. The company said it has also improved its supply chain to increase production.
It is now available in three new colours: Matte Mogra Grey, Matte Caribbean Blue and Satin Black. It features a larger LCD digital console, high-quality dual-tone seats and rear-view mirrors in the same colour as the scooter. There is no change in the battery size and it remains 2.88 kWh. It is powered by a 4.2 kW PMS motor that produces a maximum torque of 20 Nm. The headlights, indicators and central decorative element are in anthracite black.
