ASI Arrested While Taking Bribe of Rs 9,000 in Chittorgarh, Caught Red-Handed by ACB

Chittorgarh, 23 August (Udaipur Kiran). The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team from Chittorgarh arrested an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) posted at Chanderiya police station on Saturday while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 9,000. The ASI is being questioned in connection with the case, and the ACB team is also searching his residence.

ASI Arrested

The bribe was taken in exchange for providing relief to the complainant’s son in a case registered against him. Acting on the instructions from ACB headquarters, the Chittorgarh team took action and arrested ASI Subhash Chandra Yadav of Chanderiya police station. According to Additional Director General of Police (ACB) Smita Srivastava, the Chittorgarh ACB received a complaint stating that ASI Subhash Chandra Yadav was demanding a bribe of Rs 9,000 for providing help in a case registered against the complainant’s son at Chanderiya police station.

Under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udaipur Range, Prahlad Singh Krishnia, and led by Additional Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh, the ACB team laid a trap. ASI Subhash Chandra Yadav was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe from the complainant. The arrested ASI is currently being interrogated, and further action is being taken under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Meanwhile, the ACB Chittorgarh team also reached the residence of the arrested ASI, where action is ongoing under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh.
