Itanagar : Arunachal Pradesh’s daily Covid19 recoveries continued to exceed the single-day infections for the 22nd day in succession as the state on Sunday saw 26 people testing positive while 55 patients recuperating from the ailment, a senior health official said.
Following this, the state’s tally of confirmed cases rose to 64,270 and the total number of recovered cases to 63,652. Consequently, its active caseload has further plummeted to 322. With no fresh casualty was reported during the past 24 hours, the state’s Covid death toll remained 296, he said.
Of the new cases, Lower Subansiri district accounted for the highest number of five new infections, followed by Namsai and West Kameng at four each and Longding (two). Twelve of the total cases were found to be asymptomatic and 14 symptomatic. The day’s positivity rate was 3.4 percent, which stood at 5.6 percent the previous day. The state collected 758 samples for Covid19 testing in the last 24 hours that took its cumulative count to 12,59,532.
