According to a report by AppleInsider, some users who purchased the latest iPad Pro reported that the tablet had a grainy appearance when viewing content. Users report that the grain is visible and very noticeable, especially when looking closely in a dark room.
Some affected users have also shared a series of screenshots to show that the grain on the tablet screen is more visible when viewing dark menu items.
What effect does Mora have and what problems does it cause?
Apple has not released an official statement about the cause of the problem. However, the report suggests that the grainy display could be due to a bumpy or cloudy effect.
The moiré effect is usually due to irregularities between pixels caused by incorrect lighting on the screen. For example, if a pixel receives too low a voltage, neighboring pixels may appear different.
This effect occurs primarily in backlight-based LCD screens and also occurs with self-emitting pixels in OLED panels.

This issue is most likely caused by a Mura issue as this example shows the issue with dark UI elements. However, Apple is expected to resolve this issue soon.
