Apple introduced the AirPods 4 at its “Its Glowtime” event on Monday. In addition to the introduction of Active Noise Canceling (ANC) in the base AirPods, the latest portable audio products offer a more advanced listening experience. It also supports features that leverage machine learning and gesture control. In addition to introducing the AirPods 4 at Apple Park, the Cupertino-based technology giant has also switched to USB Type-C for the AirPods Max, replacing the headphones’ dedicated Lightning port.

AirPods 4 comes in two variants. With and without ANC. AirPods 4 (without ANC) cost Rs. AirPods 4 with ANC costs Rs 12,900 in India. 17,900 Apple’s latest audio products are available for pre-order starting today and are expected to go on sale on September 20th.
AirPods 4 specifications
AirPods 4 now have active noise cancellation (ANC) in addition to the dedicated transparency mode. This is a feature that was previously limited to AirPods Pro (2nd generation) and AirPods Max. These chips support Apple’s H2 chip and feature a new acoustic architecture that is said to improve sound quality. AirPods 4 also offer Personal Spatial Audio, Adaptive Audio, and Speech Recognition features.
Apple’s latest TWS headphones also feature machine learning, allowing users to use gestures like shaking their heads to answer calls. It also offers sound insulation and power sensors, similar to the flagship AirPods Pro (2nd generation). The company has introduced a new USB Type-C charging case that offers a total playtime of 30 hours. Additionally, AirPods 4 now support wireless charging.
AirPods Max in new color options
In addition to the AirPods 4, Apple also introduced new colors for its AirPods Max on-ear headphones. It is currently available in Blue, Midnight and Starlight colors and supports the same features as the original model, including personalized surround sound.
The tech giant has also updated its AirPods Pro (second generation) with new health-focused features. The device has a built-in hearing test function that allows the user to test their hearing. AirPods Pro (2nd generation) also supports hearing aid functionality by introducing a new Noise app and personalized hearing profile options.
