Patna, October 17 (Udaipur Kiran): Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah arrived in Patna on Thursday evening for a two-day visit to Bihar. During his stay, he will participate in the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) election campaign and hold a series of key meetings.
Soon after arriving in Patna, Shah chaired a high-level meeting with senior BJP leaders and office-bearers to review preparations for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He sought feedback on the party’s poll readiness and directed the organization to strengthen its presence at the booth level.
Shah said, “This election will define Bihar’s path toward development, good governance, and self-reliance.” The meeting was attended by the state BJP president, MPs, MLAs, and district-level leaders.
Amit Shah’s Bihar tour marks the formal launch of the NDA’s election campaign in the state. On Friday morning, around 11 a.m., he will address his first major public rally in Taraiya, Saran district — his first election rally for the upcoming Assembly polls.
During the rally, Shah is expected to highlight the NDA’s unity, the achievements of the central government, and the BJP’s commitment to Bihar’s development. Senior leaders from the NDA alliance will also be present at the event.
Following the rally, Shah will participate in an intellectuals’ meet at Gyan Bhavan in Patna, where he will interact with academicians, traders, doctors, and young entrepreneurs. Later in the evening, he is scheduled to hold a meeting with the party’s election management committee to discuss booth coordination, social media strategy, and campaign planning.
Shah’s visit aims to energize BJP workers and strengthen coordination within the NDA ahead of the elections. With seat-sharing between the BJP and JD(U) finalized, both parties have begun full-scale campaigning. Shah’s presence is expected to play a crucial role in uniting the alliance’s grassroots workers.
Amit Shah will return to Delhi on Saturday evening (October 18) after holding discussions with several local leaders on election strategies.
