According to Choudhary, two new weekly trains will operate between Ajmer and Mumbai, while one weekly train will connect Ajmer with Daund in Pune district.
Train numbers 09621 and 09622, the Ajmer-Mumbai Weekly Express, will run every Sunday via Jaipur, Kota, Ratlam and Surat.
Similarly, train numbers 09625 and 09626, the Ajmer-Daund Weekly Express, will operate every Thursday through Jaipur, Kota, Ratlam and Pune before reaching Daund.
Another weekly service, train numbers 09653 and 09654, will run between Ajmer and Mumbai every Saturday via Chittorgarh, Ratlam and Surat.
The new train services are expected to improve connectivity between Rajasthan and Maharashtra and provide benefits for trade, tourism and students travelling between the two states.
