Air India Flight Diverted to Ireland Due to Technical Issues

Dublin, March 17: An Air India flight from New York to Delhi has been diverted to Ireland due to technical issues. The flight, AI102, was redirected to Shannon Airport for an emergency landing after experiencing vibrations and noise during its six-hour journey. Approximately 300 passengers were on board at the time of the incident.

In a statement released by the airline, it was confirmed that the flight was diverted as a precautionary measure on March 15. Air India emphasized that the aircraft is undergoing a thorough technical evaluation in line with its high safety standards, which may take additional time.

The airline expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers and assured that every effort is being made to ensure they can continue their journey to Delhi as soon as possible. The flight safely landed at Shannon Airport at 4:30 AM local time, with all passengers and crew reported safe.

Air India has stated that a detailed technical inspection of the aircraft is currently underway, following standard safety protocols.
