Ahmedabad, May 1: Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, announced on Friday that the company will adopt a new three-layer organizational model aimed at accelerating decision-making processes across all its businesses. Speaking to employees on International Labour Day, Adani revealed significant changes intended to simplify the company’s structure, strengthen partnerships, and enhance employee capabilities. He linked these changes to India’s broader development goals.
“This three-layer model is designed to eliminate unnecessary delays and clarify responsibilities,” Adani stated. He emphasized the need for quicker decision-making, aiming to reduce the time taken from three days to just three hours. As companies grow, decision-making often becomes slower, making this change essential.
According to him, reducing organizational layers will increase work efficiency, clarify responsibilities, and improve overall operations. Adani pointed out that the delays in decision-making in large companies are often due to multiple levels of approvals, which the new model aims to address.
Additionally, he introduced a new ‘partnership model’ to facilitate collaboration with contractors and suppliers. “On many project sites, over 100 contractors work simultaneously, making coordination challenging and time-consuming,” he noted. The new approach will involve working with fewer but more reliable partners who will take full responsibility for projects, thereby speeding up work and reducing delays.
“This new method will help complete projects faster and minimize delays,” he added. Furthermore, Adani announced that the company plans to add new assets worth ₹2 lakh crore as part of its business expansion this year. He reiterated the Adani Group’s commitment to contributing to India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
