Udaipur, March 18 – The city of lakes was immersed in an enchanting evening of music and poetry as ‘Mahfil Suron Ki’ took center stage at Mohanlal Sukhadia University’s auditorium. Organized by Music & Melodies in collaboration with the university’s Urdu department, the event was a musical celebration of the Holika Utsav, showcasing the brilliance of renowned singer Marisha Dixit and other distinguished artists.

Event coordinator Chinmay Dixit shared that the grand evening unfolded at Bappa Rawal Auditorium, with Dr. Prem Bhandari, a former professor, gracing the occasion as the chief guest. Colonel Prof. Dr. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Vice-Chancellor of Janardan Rai Nagar Vidyapeeth University, along with Shraddha Murdia (Kasti Foundation), Dr. Seema Singh (Aishwarya College), and Aishwarya Singh, attended as special guests.

The audience was left spellbound by Marisha Dixit Joshi, whose soulful ghazals, Bollywood melodies, and traditional Holi folk songs infused the evening with a mesmerizing aura. Her powerful voice and classical expertise set the stage ablaze, leaving music lovers swaying in delight.
Adding to the cultural grandeur, a Mayur dance from Mathura and a vibrant “Phoolon Ki Holi” (Floral Holi) performance added charm to the evening. The show was further elevated by Sanatani poet and lyricist Kapil Paliwal, who infused poetic elegance with his captivating recitations.
