Bilaspur (Udaipur Kiran): A tragic accident occurred in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday evening, when a massive landslide struck a passenger bus, leaving 15 people dead and several others trapped under the debris.

According to officials, the incident took place around 6:25 PM near Bhallu, close to Barthin, as the bus was traveling from Marotan to Ghumarwin. The landslide, triggered by continuous rainfall since morning, caused a large portion of the hill to collapse onto the moving bus.
Authorities said the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), police, and local residents are engaged in rescue operations. So far, two children have been safely rescued, while 15–20 passengers are still feared trapped under the debris.
The bus was reportedly carrying 25 to 30 passengers at the time of the incident. Eyewitnesses said only the roof of the bus was visible after the landslide. Locals immediately informed the administration, and rescue teams rushed to the spot.
Rescue efforts are ongoing amid challenging weather conditions. Officials fear the death toll may rise as operations continue through the night.
