YouTube Music has officially launched its long-awaited audio search feature for Android and iOS users. This innovative tool allows users to recognize and identify songs by humming, humming or playing the melody part.
Previously tested in a limited edition, Audio Search is now generally available. It uses artificial intelligence technology to match the input audio data to a huge music catalog.
Users can access this feature by tapping the waveform icon in the YouTube Music search bar.

- Find the waveform icon: Next to the microphone icon, you’ll see a waveform icon. Tap on this to activate Sound Search.
- Hum or sing: Start humming or singing the melody of the song you’re trying to find. You can also play a short snippet of the song if you have it.
- Wait for results: YouTube Music’s AI will analyse the sound and provide you with a list of potential matches.
