Yes Bank Rises Over 2.5% as Q2 Net Profit Climbs 17% YoY Despite Slight Dip in Revenue

Mumbai, October 20 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Yes Bank gained over 2.5% on Monday after the private sector lender reported a 17% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its consolidated net profit for the September 2025 quarter (Q2FY26), driven by improved margins and lower provisions.

The stock was trading at Rs. 22.81, up Rs. 0.57 or 2.56% from its previous close of Rs. 22.24 on the BSE. It opened at Rs. 22.46 and touched an intraday high of Rs. 22.95 and low of Rs. 22.13. So far, over 62.91 lakh shares have been traded on the counter.

The BSE Group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52-week high of Rs. 24.30 (October 13, 2025) and a low of Rs. 16.02 (March 12, 2025), reflecting a strong recovery in the bank’s market performance. The market capitalization of the lender now stands at Rs. 71,845.42 crore.

Institutional investors hold 65.16% of the total shareholding, while non-institutional investors own 34.84%.

Q2FY26 Performance Snapshot

On a standalone basis, Yes Bank reported an 18.34% rise in its net profit to Rs. 654.47 crore, up from Rs. 553.04 crore in the same period last year. However, its total income fell marginally by 1.25% to Rs. 9,023.15 crore, compared to Rs. 9,137.09 crore in Q2FY25.

On a consolidated basis, the bank posted a 17.25% increase in its net profit to Rs. 664.31 crore, compared to Rs. 566.59 crore last year. Total income slipped 1.22% to Rs. 9,113.13 crore against Rs. 9,225.45 crore in the same quarter last year.

Despite the minor revenue dip, investors appeared encouraged by the consistent profit growth, stable asset quality, and the lender’s ongoing balance sheet strengthening initiatives.

Market experts believe Yes Bank’s improving financial metrics and strategic focus on retail lending and asset recovery could continue to drive steady growth in the upcoming quarters. The stock’s positive momentum indicates renewed investor confidence in the lender’s turnaround journey.
