Udaipur, March 7 (Udaipur Kiran): International Women’s Day was celebrated at Sai Tirupati University, Umarda, with a special programme organised under the aegis of the NSS Cell in collaboration with Venkateshwara College of Physiotherapy.
The event was attended by the university’s Vice Chancellor Dr Prashant Nahar, along with Dr Chandra Mathur, Dr Sarita Kant, Dr S. M. Yunus, Dr Preeti Malhotra, women doctors from various colleges of the university, faculty members, staff, students and other dignitaries.
On the occasion, speakers shared their views on women’s dignity, their rights and their vital role in society. They also highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment and the need to promote respect and equal opportunities for women.
The programme was successfully organised with the support of NSS Unit Incharge Dr Laksh Chaubisa, NSS volunteers and the staff of Venkateshwara College of Physiotherapy. All members worked together to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
NSS Cell coordinator Deepak Teli said that such programmes aim to promote awareness and respect for women in society.
