Udaipur : A 32-year old woman who was brought to the government MB hospital here on thursday midnight in a critical condition of consuming poison, was found hanging from a tree behind the nursing quarters here next day. Some people who spotted the body hanging from the tree informed the police which shifted the body to the mortuary but the cops were in a state of clutter since there was no trace of the victim’s family members or attendants who brought her to the hospital.
The police identified the body as Ganeshi as the name was tattoed on her hand, later cops went ward to ward to enquire about any missing woman there. It was known that the victim was admitted in ward number 15-D of the medicine department,she was brought in an unconscious state around 3 am, hospital records claimed. She had consumed an overdose of salfas tablets. However, no one saw her in the morning, neither her family members or relatives were seen. Police tried to contact her people through the mobile number that was given at the time of her admission, however no one responded to the calls. According to police the woman was seen hanging by a saree on a branch of a tree behind the nurses quarters.
Her feet was touching the ground however, sources said the branch perhaps came down due to the body weight and hence her feet touched the ground. ” We have identified the deceased but there is no trace of her people. Only when we are able to get through them, we would be able to know why she committed suicide and why the relatives left her alone inside the ward”Ravindra Singh Charan, SHO Hathipole police station said. The autopsy and other formalities too have been put on hold unless her relatives are contacted, cops said.
