”Killers use code word to confirm task accomplishment’
Udaipur : In a major breakthrough, Udaipur police was successful in solving a murder mystery within 24 hours and arrested the deceased’s wife and her two lovers for the crime. Monika do Prahlad Mali resident of Kanghi Mohalla in Nimbahera of Chittorgarh district, Durgesh Teli resident of Nimbahera and Kapil Mali resident of Raoji-ka-hata Udaipur were arrested on wednesday for the conspiracy and murder of Vinod Mali a 27-year old motor mechanic whose body was found on the 200-feet road near Khelgaon circle under Sukher police station area on tuesday morning.
Some passerby had informed the police of the body and since the victim’s head was smashed completely, the police had no clue unless his family members showed up at another police station to lodge a man missing complaint. ” During theinvestigation it was found that Vinod was a simple man and had no rivalry with anybody. We were informed that he had had a court marrige 6 months ago and his wife Monika had lived at her parents home in Nimbahera for few months after marriage” SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal said. Further investigation revealed that Vinod was upset with his wife as she frequently spoke to a man in Nimbahera and another person in Udaipur. Taking the clue, the cops quizzed his wife thoroughly and the woman confessed that she had got both her lovers Durgesh and Kapil to get her hubby out of their way. Monika also said that Vinod had damaged her SIM card and taken away her mobile and warned her not to speak to the men. This had infuriated her and she thought of a plan to get rid of him. She made a plan with Durgesh and Kapil to kill Vinod.
On Monday morning Durgesh called Vinod on the pretext for asking to repair his motorcycle and when the latter arrived at the said spot, both the men sprayed chilli powder in his eyes and smashed his head with a heavy stone. They both deleted the received call records from the victim’s mobile and fled from the spot. Later Kapil dropped Durgesh at Pratapnagar circle and Durgesh boarded a bus to get back home. After some time Monika used her neibour’s mobile phone to call Kapil to enquire whether they had completed the mission and Kapil replied in the pre-set code word ‘Jai Mata di’ which meant that the task was completed successfully. ” We have arrested the three accused and detailed interrogation is going on to get more details” Mangilal Punwar, SHO Sukher police station said.
