WhatsApp launch secret code feature to boost chat security

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature called “secret code” that would add an extra layer of security to users’ chats. The feature would allow users to set a custom password or emoji to protect their chats from unauthorized access.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, the secret code feature is currently under development and is not yet available to beta testers. However, it is expected to be rolled out to users in the near future.

To use the secret code feature, users would first need to enable it in the WhatsApp settings. Once enabled, users would be able to set a password or emoji to protect their chats. To access a locked chat, users would need to enter the password or emoji.

The secret code feature is similar to the existing chat lock feature, which allows users to lock their chats with a fingerprint, facial scan, or PIN. However, the secret code feature would provide an additional layer of security by requiring users to enter a password or emoji to access their chats.
