Western Railway Ensures No Mega Block on NEET Exam Day

Mumbai, June 17: Western Railway has announced that there will be no ‘mega block’ on June 21, the day of the NEET exam. This decision aims to facilitate the smooth travel of candidates attending the examination. According to the announcement, suburban services will operate as per regular weekday schedules, while AC suburban services will run according to Sunday timings.

In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that approximately 350,000 candidates are expected to participate in the NEET exam across 59 districts on June 21. He directed that candidates should receive a 50% fare discount on Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation buses upon showing their admit cards.

Additionally, temporary accommodation facilities will be arranged for candidates traveling from other districts who do not have lodging arrangements. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity, transparency, and sensitivity in the examination process, instructing officials to monitor and take swift action against any attempts to spread rumors or misinformation on social media and other platforms.

In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reviewed the state’s preparations for the NEET exam, ensuring that all examination centers would operate in a ‘transparent, secure, and error-free’ manner. He highlighted that the credibility of a national-level exam relies on precise planning and flawless execution. Yadav reiterated that all preparations must be completed in advance, and the exam should be conducted with utmost transparency, without any errors at any level.
