Vodafone Idea (Vi) on Wednesday launched a new prepaid plan that offers free Netflix subscription. The carrier bundles the free Netflix Basic plan with certain prepaid fees during the plan’s validity period. This plan also offers regular connectivity benefits like daily internet data, unlimited free calls and 100 free SMS per day. Notably, telecom companies Airtel and Jio last year announced similar plans to increase Netflix packages for their respective subscribers.

There are two recharge plans that Vi Credit subscribers can purchase to enjoy their free Netflix subscription. Netflix packages start at Rs. Users in Gujarat and Mumbai will have to pay Rs. 1099 for this offer.

Whether you already have a Netflix account or haven’t created one yet, you are eligible for this plan. After completing the recharge, users need to open the Vi app and go to the plan benefits page. Clicking “Netflix” will take users to the Netflix app or website, where they can create a new account and link or unlink an existing account.
If the user is already subscribed to a Netflix plan, linking the account will end the current subscription and automatically start the Vi plan. However, if users subscribe to Netflix through Apple, they must first cancel their subscription. Otherwise, you may still be charged by Apple.
