The launch date for Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in India has been set, the Chinese company announced on Thursday, May 23. The booklet-like folding book was first introduced in China in March. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and equipped with Zeiss branded cameras. The smartphone has an 8-inch foldable display and a 5700 mAh battery. Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is Vivo’s first foldable offering in the country.
The launch of Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in India will take place on June 6, the company announced in a press release. Flipkart and Vivo have also created separate pages on their websites to announce the launch. The release date of June 6 was accidentally announced earlier on the company’s website.
Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Price in India (Expected)
The price details of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro have not been officially announced yet. The 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant has been launched in China at a starting price of CNY 9,999 (roughly Rs. 1,16,000).
Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Specifications (Expected)
The Chinese version of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro runs Android 14 with OriginOS 4. In India, it can be sold with Funtouch OS. It has an 8.03-inch 2K (2200 x 2480 pixels) foldable internal AMOLED display and a 6.53-inch (1172 x 2748 pixels) foldable AMOLED external display. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC delivers excellent foldable performance with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 built-in storage. It is equipped with a Vivo V3 imaging chip and a carbon fiber wristband.
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is equipped with a Zeiss camera, led by a 50-megapixel main camera. There are 32 MP selfie cameras on the outer and inner screen for selfies. The phone has a 5700mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Folded thickness 11.2 mm.
For now, Vivo foldable smartphones are only sold in China. As the foldable smartphone market continues to grow, the launch of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro could be a big deal for the brand. The phone is expected to compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the OnePlus Open.
