On his first foreign visit, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu called on President of Republic of Guatemala, Jimmy Morales at the Presidential House in Guatemala on Monday and conveyed greetings to the President and people of Guatemala on behalf of the Government and people of India. The Vice President told the Guatemalan President that India is keen on strengthening relationship with Central America and Guatemala in particular as we consider Guatemala as an able and valuable partner.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu met President of the Congress of Guatemala, Alvaro Arzu Escobar. Both leaders discussed ways to increase trade, developmental cooperation and people to people bond.
