Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2026 Concludes on a Grand Note

Udaipur, February 8, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): The Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2026 concluded in a memorable and grand manner on its final day, celebrating a rich blend of Indian and international music across Udaipur’s iconic open-air venues. Supported by Hindustan Zinc and conceptualised and presented by Seher, the festival was organised with the support of the Rajasthan government and the Tourism Department, marking the culmination of its 10-year journey with performances rooted in cultural exchange and musical diversity.

The final day began at Manji Ghat (Ambrai Ghat) from 9 am with serene morning performances that offered audiences a calm and reflective start. Siddharth Bellamannu opened the session with a Hindustani classical recital, followed by a flamenco performance by Spain’s From Father to Son, presenting a generational legacy of Spanish flamenco through rhythm, melody and emotion against the tranquil lakeside setting.

Afternoon sessions commenced at Fateh Sagar Pal at 3.30 pm, adding depth and global colour to the day. Poland’s Wolosi captivated the audience with an energetic interpretation of Polish folk music. The afternoon concluded with a performance by Indian Ocean, pioneers of Indian fusion rock, whose unique blend of folk, rock and spiritual elements created a strong connection with the lakeside audience.

The festival concluded in the evening at Gandhi Ground with high-energy contemporary performances. Spain’s Flamenco Dream opened the evening with a vibrant mix of Spanish jazz and pop, followed by Chile’s Calle Mambo, whose Latin rhythms had the audience dancing. The final performance was by renowned Indian composer and live performer Amit Trivedi, whose popular Bollywood compositions, distinctive musical style and energetic stage presence ensured an engaging and impactful finale, bringing the festival to a grand close.

Hindustan Zinc CEO Arun Misra said that the company celebrates the power of art and culture to bring people together. He expressed pride in supporting the 10th year of the prestigious three-day festival, which brought global artists and timeless traditions to Zinc City, Udaipur. He said the confluence of global talent with Rajasthan’s rich musical heritage highlighted the state’s vibrant cultural traditions and further strengthened Udaipur’s position as a major music hub.

Seher founder Sanjeev Bhargava said the festival’s conclusion is always emotional, especially while completing a decade-long journey. He noted that the final day reflected the core spirit of the festival—artists from across the world coming together, Udaipur’s open spaces transforming into vibrant cultural stages, and people connecting naturally through music. He added that this edition reinforced the belief that global music experienced in such settings leaves memories that last well beyond the festival.

Over three days, artists from around the world enriched the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2026 with their distinctive voices. Norway’s 9 Grader Nord presented a unique blend of Norwegian and Tamil folk rock, while Algeria’s Sofiane Saidi mesmerised audiences with his soulful Rai performance. Kailash Kher and Kailasa Live captivated listeners with their powerful folk and Sufi renditions.

Morning sessions featured Radha Bubukwar’s refined light classical presentation, while France’s Les Itinérantes added elegance with their a cappella style. Amrit Ramnath’s contemporary classical interpretations, Cape Verde’s Lura with her morna and coladera compositions, Taba Chake’s folk-inspired melodies, Cameroon’s Valérie Ekoumé’s Afro-pop rhythms, OAFF’s modern electronic soundscapes and Jonita Gandhi’s dynamic stage presence together created a memorable musical journey.

With its conclusion, the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival once again reinforced Udaipur’s identity as a leading cultural destination, highlighting the city’s vibrant role in promoting international music and cultural exchange through a diverse blend of classical, folk and contemporary global sounds.
